Paal Frisvold founded The Brussels Office in 2001 and is today Chairman of the Board. He is one of Norway's most prominent experts on the EEA (European Economic Area) agreement and is often used as a public speaker in Brussels and Norway.

Frisvold's work includes policy issues within the sectors of environment, energy, transport and state aid. He has particular knowledge on the decision making processes and working methods within the EFTA Surveillance Authority and the EU institutions.

Frisvold's professional experience ranges from the OECD and the Norwegian Shipowners' Association to the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the EFTA Secretariat, where he was acting secretary for the EFTA Standing Committee and the EEA Committee. He has lived in Brussels since 1997 and has a broad network within the Norwegian and international environment.

Frisvold holds a BA in International Affairs from The American University of Paris and an MA in International Relations from The Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
